Utah High School Basketball - Salt Lake Academy overwhelmed by Merit Preparatory Academy

In Tuesday's league test, the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT) basketball squad trounced the visiting Salt Lake Academy Griffins (Herriman, UT), by a score of 71-44.

Next, the Knights encounter the Telos (Orem, UT) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 10. Merit Preparatory Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The come into the test with a 0-9 record after their 68-30 non-league loss to Utah Military Academy - Hill Field (Riverdale, UT).

The Griffins (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT). The Marauders come into the 2A Region 16 test with a 0-14 record. In their last test, Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams was routed by American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT), 70-21, in a league test.
