Texas High School Basketball - Sundown succumbs to Morton

January 7, 2025: Sundown, TX 79372

In Tuesday's league test, the Morton Indians (Morton, TX) basketball squad defeated the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), by a final score of 54-40.

Next, the Indians clash with the Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 10. Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 11-6 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Farwell (Farwell, TX).

The Roughnecks (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Whiteface (Whiteface, TX). The Antelopes come into the 2A Region I District 5 test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Whiteface went down by Plains (Plains, TX), 51-42, in a league test.
