North Carolina High School Basketball - Starmount knocked off by Mount Airy

January 7, 2025: Mount Airy, NC 27030

In Tuesday's league test, the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), by a score of 74-57.

Next, the Granite Bears encounter the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 8. Mount Airy will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 4-6 record after their 76-49 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).

The Rams (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks come into the 1A Northwest test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Elkin was knocked off by North Wilkes (Hays, NC), 63-40, in a non-league test.
