North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Academy knocked off by North Stanly

January 7, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110

In Tuesday's league test, the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), by a score of 66-55.

Next, the Comets encounter the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, January 9. North Stanly will attempt to improve on its 12-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 6-4 record after their 86-36 league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC).

The Cardinals (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test with a 0-11 record. In their last test, Albemarle was knocked off by South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 59-36, in a league test.
