The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) and the visiting Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX), observed Seymour's basketball team overwhelm Petrolia by a score of 63-39.

The Panthers (19-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Nocona (Nocona, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region II District 9 challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, Nocona trounced Petrolia (Petrolia, TX), 60-53, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX) in a 2A Region II District 9 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Petrolia will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 44-27 league loss to Windthorst (Windthorst, TX).
