The Westlake Academy Blacksmiths basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Poetry Community Christian Pioneer to 44 in the Blacksmiths non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blacksmiths now have a 6-7 record. They play next when they host International Leadership of Texas Keller for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11.

With the loss, Poetry Community Christian falls to 2-17 on the campaign. The Pioneer travel to Athens Christian Preparatory Academy (Athens, TX) to confront the Storm in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Storm go into the game with a record of 0-15. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy lost 63-26 in their recent league game against Trinity School of Texas (Longview, TX)
