The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Troy Trojans (Troy, PA) and the host Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), observed Troy's basketball team overwhelm Towanda by a score of 75-50.

The Trojans (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Athens (Athens, PA). The Wildcats come into the Northern Tier challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Athens was routed by North Penn-Mansfield (Mansfield, PA), 62-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Black Knights battle the Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) in a Northern Tier challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Towanda will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 56-41 league win over Wyalusing Valley (Wyalusing, PA).
