The North Mesquite Stallions basketball team scored 42 points and limited the host Samuell Spartans to 38 in the Stallions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Stallions now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wilson for a non-league game on Friday, January 17.

With the loss, Samuell falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Adams (Dallas, TX) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 1-1. Adams lost 54-24 in their recent non-league game against Seagoville (Dallas, TX)
