In Tuesday's league contest, the host Acorn Tigers basketball team scored a big 61-38 triumph over the Mountainburg Dragons.

The Tigers (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Westside (Coal Hill, AR). The Rebels go into the 2A Region 4 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Westside smashed Danville (Danville, AR), 59-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the Hackett Hornets (Hackett, AR) in a 2A Region 4 contest, on Friday, January 10. Mountainburg will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 52-48 league win over Hector (Hector, AR).
