The Mustangs (13-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Seminole (Seminole, TX). The Indians come into the 4A Region I District 3 challenge with a 19-6 record. In their last challenge, Seminole prevailed over Greenwood (Midland, TX), 57-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Pecos will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 47-39 league win over Monahans (Monahans, TX).
