The Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI) basketball edged the host Ashley Bears (Ashley, MI), 42-39 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Comets now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fulton for a Mid-State bout on Thursday, January 9. Coleman will play a Pirates team coming off a 50-44 league loss to St. Charles (St. Charles, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 5-3.
