In Tuesday's league contest, the host Auburndale Apaches basketball team scored a good 42-33 triumph over the Marathon Red Raiders.

The Apaches (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Edgar (Edgar, WI). The Wildcats go into the Marawood - South contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Edgar topped Newman (Wausau, WI), 51-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Red Raiders confront the Prentice Buccaneers (Prentice, WI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Marathon will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Buccaneers go into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 47-39 league win over Athens (Athens, WI).
