The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Chattanooga, TN) basketball were winner over the visiting Baylor Red Raiders (Chattanooga, TN), 59-40 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Fighting Irish now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Boyd-Buchanan for a Division II-A East District 2 bout on Friday, January 10. Notre Dame will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 57-22 league win over Collegedale Academy (Collegedale, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Baylor falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Briarcrest Christian won 53-23 in their recent non-league bout against Middle College (Memphis, TN)
