In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Belle Plaine Tigers basketball team scored a big 70-40 triumph over the Blue Earth Buccaneers.

The Tigers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Norwood-Young America, MN). The Raiders go into the AA Section 2 contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Central smashed Dassel-Cokato (Cokato, MN), 54-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Pipestone Arrows (Pipestone, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Blue Earth will attempt to better on its 0-10 season record. The Arrows go into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 66-50 league win over St. James (St. James, MN).
