In Tuesday's league contest, the host Cabot Panthers basketball team scored a good 38-24 triumph over the Jonesboro Hurricane.
The Panthers (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR). The Gryphons go into the 6A Central contest with a 0-14 record. In their last contest, Little Rock Southwest was topped by Conway (Conway, AR), 87-22, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Hurricane battle the Bryant Hornets (Bryant, AR) in a 6A Central contest, on Friday, January 10. Jonesboro will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 9-9 record after their 73-50 non-league loss to Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR).
