With the victory, Pontotoc upgrades its record to 12-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to face the Commodores in a 5A Region 1 match on Thursday, January 9. The Commodores enter the match with a record of 9-7. Lafayette lost 76-44 in their recent league match against New Hope (Columbus, MS)

The Warriors now sport a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Biggersville for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Corinth will face a Lions squad coming off a 63-48 league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Lions record now stands at 14-2.
