The Troup County Tigers basketball squad (LaGrange, GA), was crushed 69-35 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA)

With the victory, Fayette County advances its record to 10-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a AAA Region 2 battle on Thursday, January 9. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 5-10. Mary Persons lost 53-11 in their recent league battle against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA)

The Tigers now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host LaGrange for a AAA Region 2 battle on Thursday, January 9. Troup County will meet a Grangers squad coming off a 66-44 league loss to Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Grangers record now stands at 4-11.
