Oregon High School Basketball - Grant Union nips Riverside

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR) and the host Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), observed Grant Union's basketball team edge Riverside by a score of 31-29.
The Prospectors (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Stanfield (Stanfield, OR). The Tigers come into the 2A Blue Mountain challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Stanfield edged Umatilla (Umatilla, OR), 53-30, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Riverside will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Homedale (Homedale, ID).
