The Rangers (22-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Warriors come into the 6A Region IV District 25 challenge with a 5-16 record. In their last challenge, Round Rock Westwood was routed by Vandegrift (Austin, TX), 65-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hippos battle the McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Hutto will attempt to improve on its 12-14 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 40-37 league win over Manor (Manor, TX).
