In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Jackson Red Devils basketball team scored a close 40-38 triumph over the Pike County Pirates.

The Red Devils (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Morgan County (Madison, GA). The Bulldogs go into the AA Region 2 contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Morgan County nipped Rutland (Macon, GA), 70-14, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Westside Seminoles (Macon, GA) in a AA Region 2 contest, on Friday, January 10. Pike County will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Seminoles go into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 51-48 non-league loss to Central (Macon, GA).
