The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX) and the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), observed Jim Ned's basketball team overwhelm Merkel by a score of 70-25.

The Indians (23-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Clyde (Clyde, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region I District 6 challenge with a 16-7 record. In their last challenge, Clyde was routed by Wall (Wall, TX), 70-26, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Badgers encounter the San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles (San Angelo, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Merkel will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record.
