Georgia High School Basketball - Pickens overwhelms Johnson

January 7, 2025: Gainesville, GA 30507

The Pickens Dragons basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Johnson Knights to 15 in the Dragons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Dragons now possess a 14-1 record. They play next when they host Greater Atlanta Christian for a AAA Region 6 game on Thursday, January 9. Pickens will confront a Spartans team coming off a 62-44 league loss to White County (Cleveland, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Johnson falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Chestatee (Gainesville, GA) to confront the War Eagles in a AAA Region 6 game on Friday, January 10. The War Eagles go into the game with a record of 11-5. Chestatee won 52-42 in their recent league game against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)
