The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the visiting Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX), observed Olton's basketball team overcome Lockney by a score of 54-37.

The Mustangs (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hale Center (Hale Center, TX). The Owls come into the 2A Region I District 3 challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Hale Center defeated Bovina (Bovina, TX), 54-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Lockney will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Steers come into the challenge with a 22-3 record after their 75-35 league win over Sudan (Sudan, TX).
