The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX) and the visiting Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX), observed Lone Oak's basketball team overcome Prairiland by a score of 54-43.

The Buffaloes (4-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Chisum (Paris, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region II District 12 challenge with a 7-16 record. In their last challenge, Chisum defeated Prairiland (Pattonville, TX), 58-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Prairiland will attempt to improve on its 10-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 23-3 record after their 63-25 league win over Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX).
