The Machias Bulldogs basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Shead Tigers to 30 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Narraguagus for a C North game on Thursday, January 9. Machias will confront a Knights team coming off a 55-43 league win over Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Knights record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Shead falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME) to confront the Mariners in a D North game on Friday, January 10. The Mariners go into the game with a record of 1-8. Deer Isle-Stonington lost 48-21 in their recent non-league game against George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME)
