In Tuesday's league contest, the host Marshall Tigers basketball team scored a big 77-38 triumph over the St. Peter Saints.

The Tigers (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Cardinals go into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Redwood Valley was trounced by Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN), 77-68, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Saints battle the Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. St. Peter will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Komets go into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 60-40 non-league win over Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN).
