In Tuesday's league contest, the host Stevens Point Panthers basketball team scored a big 72-16 triumph over the Merrill Bluejays.
The Panthers (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Marshfield (Marshfield, WI). The Tigers go into the Wisconsin Valley contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Marshfield was trounced by Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI), 57-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bluejays confront the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) in a Wisconsin Valley contest, on Friday, January 10. Merrill will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Red Raiders go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 56-24 league win over Wausau East (Wausau, WI).
