The Smith Valley Bulldogs basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Mineral County Serpents to 16 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Sage Ridge for a 1A West game on Thursday, January 9. Smith Valley will play a Scorpions team coming off a 58-34 league loss to Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Scorpions record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Mineral County falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Serpents host Virginia City (Virginia City, NV) to play the Muckers in a 1A West game on Friday, January 10. The Muckers go into the game with a record of 10-5. Virginia City won 58-34 in their recent league game against Sage Ridge (Reno, NV)
