Georgia High School Basketball - Morgan County overwhelms Rutland

January 7, 2025: Madison, GA 30650

The Morgan County Bulldogs basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Rutland Hurricanes to 14 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now have a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Jackson for a AA Region 2 game on Friday, January 10. Morgan County will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 40-38 league win over Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Rutland falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Callaway (Hogansville, GA) to confront the Cavaliers in a AA Region 2 game on Friday, January 10. The Cavaliers go into the game with a record of 6-5. Callaway lost 59-33 in their recent league game against Westside (Macon, GA)
