Texas High School Basketball - Mt. Pleasant nips Nacogdoches

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers basketball team scored a close 50-45 triumph over the Nacogdoches Dragons.

The Tigers (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Tyler (Tyler, TX). The Lions go into the 5A Region II District 10 contest with a 23-5 record. In their last contest, Tyler nipped Texas (Texarkana, TX), 70-40, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 contest, on Friday, January 10. Nacogdoches will attempt to better on its 12-8 season record. The Mavericks go into the contest with a 2-17 record after their 62-18 league loss to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX).
