Riverside Bulldogs (Avon, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting North Side Gators (Shelby, MS), 40-32 in a league match.

With the victory, Riverside upgrades its record to 7-8 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Shaw (Shaw, MS) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-8. Shaw lost 40-21 in their recent league match against West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS)

The Gators now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leflore County for a 2A Region 3 match on Friday, January 10. North Side will face a Tigers squad coming off a 35-29 league loss to O'Bannon (Greenville, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 9-8.
