In Tuesday's league contest, the host Pequot Lakes Patriots basketball team scored a big 60-34 triumph over the Pierz Pioneers.
The Patriots (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Albany (Albany, MN). The Huskies go into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Albany smashed St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 61-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Little Falls Flyers (Little Falls, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Pierz will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Flyers go into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 58-57 non-league loss to Milaca (Milaca, MN).
