The Saks Wildcats were victorious over the host Weaver Bearcats basketball squad by a final score of 60-44 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL) in a 3A Area 9 outing, on Thursday, January 9. Saks will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Panthers enter the outing with a 0-9 record after their 59-4 non-league loss to Ranburne (Ranburne, AL).

The Bearcats (2-14) will now prepare for their outing against Randolph County (Wedowee, AL). The Tigers enter the 3A Area 9 outing with a 7-10 record.
