California High School Soccer - La Serna nudges El Rancho

Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA) and the host El Rancho Dons (Pico Rivera, CA), saw La Serna's soccer squad hold off El Rancho by a count of 2-1.

The Lancers (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Whittier (Whittier, CA). The Cardinals enter the Del Rio battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Whittier tipped Montebello (Montebello, CA), 5-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Dons battle the California Condors (Whittier, CA) in a Del Rio battle, on Thursday, January 9. El Rancho will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Condors enter the battle with a 7-4 record after their 4-1 league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, CA).
