The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC) and the visiting Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC), observed Ascend Leadership's basketball team knock off Southern Wake Academy by a score of 45-36.

The Aviators (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Neuse Charter was knocked off by Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC), 60-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Southern Wake Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 37-36 non-league loss to Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC).
