The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), observed North Surry's basketball team overwhelm Forbush by a score of 61-36.

The Greyhounds (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Ashe County was routed by Mitchell (Bakersville, NC), 38-17, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Forbush will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 43-41 non-league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).
