The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) and the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), observed Forest Hills's basketball team knock off Piedmont by a score of 52-40.

The Yellow Jackets (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, West Stanly achieved victory over Monroe (Monroe, NC), 48-40, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Piedmont falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Central Academy (Monroe, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Central Academy lost 49-9 in their recent non-league bout against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)
