In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Varela Vipers basketball team scored a big 50-18 win over the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans.
The Vipers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sunset (Miami, FL). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Sunset smashed Mater Bay Academy (Cutler Bay, FL), 56-47, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the iMater Charter Knights (Hialeah, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record.
