In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Independence Patriots basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the Providence Panthers.
The Patriots (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-3 record.
In their next game, the Panthers confront the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Providence will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Ravens go into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 35-30 non-league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC).
