Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC), 59-48 in a league match.

With the victory, Lumberton advances its record to 10-0 on the year. The Pirates travel to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to face the Bears in a match on Thursday, January 9. The Bears enter the match with a record of 3-5. Gray's Creek won 68-34 in their recent league match against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC)

The Tigers now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Purnell Swett for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9.
