The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), observed West Stanly's basketball team knock off Monroe by a score of 48-40.

The Colts (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Forest Hills prevailed over Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 52-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Redhawks encounter the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
