The Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) basketball toppled the host Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC), 38-25 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Rams now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Elkin for a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. Starmount will play a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 45-26 non-league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Mount Airy falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Granite bears travel to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 8.
