North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Halifax thwarts North Edgecombe

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) and the host North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC), observed Northwest Halifax's basketball team knock off North Edgecombe by a score of 69-49.

The Vikings (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Pride come into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, KIPP Pride dropped by Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC), 63-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. North Edgecombe will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 46-16 non-league loss to Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).
