Virginia High School Basketball - Portsmouth Christian holds off StoneBridge

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Portsmouth Christian Patriots basketball team scored a close 37-34 triumph over the StoneBridge Cavaliers.

The Patriots (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Saints go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy was tipped by Atlantic Shores Christian (Chesapeake, VA), 71-26, in a non-league battle.

The Cavaliers now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walsingham Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. StoneBridge will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 49-33 non-league win over Veritas School (Richmond, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-3.
