The Dongola Demons basketball team (Dongola, IL), was overwhelmed 60-34 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Agape Christian Knights (Energy, IL)

The Knights now possess a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Joppa-Maple Grove for a South Egyptian battle on Tuesday, January 9. Agape Christian will confront a Rangers team coming off a 85-61 league loss to Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL). The Rangers record now stands at 6-10.

The Demons (1-15) will now prepare for their battle against Cobden (Cobden, IL). The Appleknockers come into the South Egyptian battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Cobden was overwhelmed by Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL), 64-27, in a non-league battle.
