Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter (Brimley, MI), 89-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Big Bay de Noc upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Black Bears host Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Superior Central won 48-35 in their recent non-league bout against Republic-Michigamme (Republic, MI)

Next up, the play the Beaver Island Islanders (Beaver Island, MI) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, January 12. Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Islanders go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 54-11 non-league loss to Nah Tah Wahsh (Wilson, MI).
