The Pickens County Tornadoes basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Berry Wildcats to 30 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Monday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Lowndes for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Pickens County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 46-44 non-league win over Noxubee County (Macon, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 11-7.
The Wildcats (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Brilliant was routed by Phillips (Bear Creek, AL), 70-64, in a non-league contest.
