With the win, Morenci upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Pima (Pima, AZ) to play the Roughriders in a 2A East bout on Thursday, January 11. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Pumas play the St. David Tigers (St. David, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Bisbee will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 78-42 league win over Lourdes Catholic (Nogales, AZ).
