Rutland Raiders (Rutland, VT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Burr & Burton Bulldogs (Manchester, VT), 54-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Rutland upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Raiders travel to Middlebury (Middlebury, VT) to play the Tigers in a Southern Vermont - A bout on Friday, January 12. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bellows Falls Terriers (Bellows Falls, VT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Burr & Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Terriers go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 69-44 non-league loss to Otter Valley (Brandon, VT).
