The Cherokee Indians basketball team (Cherokee, AL), was overwhelmed 69-36 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Covenant Christian Eagles (Tuscumbia, AL)
The Eagles now possess a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shoals Christian for a 1A Area 16 battle on Friday, January 19.
The Indians (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Shoals Christian (Florence, AL). The Flame come into the 1A Area 16 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Shoals Christian trounced Waterloo (Waterloo, AL), 72-39, in a league battle.
